Goat Keeping Course
Our 1 day goat keeping course with experienced goat keeper Lynn Beard offers a fantastic introduction to goat keeping for the beginner or perhaps you just want to spend a day with the goats. Lynn keeps over 150 goats and can introduce you to them all by name!
The day will be mainly a mix of hands on goat husbandry with a chance to get hands on with hoof trimming and vaccination, an introduction to goat health, housing and nutrition along with the legal requirements of movement licences and record keeping. The day finishes with afternoon milking a spectacle to behold!
Our goat keeping course will cover all the things you need to know to start keeping your own goats.
Held at Cilwr Farm with spectacular views of the Cothi Valley this is a fantastic experience for anyone interested in goats.
We did have a lovely day with Lynn - she gave so much of her time to help us learn all about goats - the experience and knowledge she imparted to us we could not have picked up from a book or any other source and so was priceless.

We came for two weeks at the end of August. Mixed weather but it didn't knock our spirits! Managed to get three good days on the beach and plenty to do in the area on the wet days. Wonderful farm. Rob and Fiona have a great business here and with exciting plans for the future I wish them all the best, I'm sure they will make a huge success of it. Lovely cottages, a very peaceful place to be in the evening, all the ingredients for settling down in front of the tele with a glass of wine!-
