Smallholding Experience Break
Our Smallholding Experience Break is aimed at those who dream of owning a smallholding and want to experience the reality before they take the plunge.
The break is tailored to individuals and groups interested in smallholding and pig keeping in particular, like community groups looking to set up their landshare and animalshare schemes or families who just fancy an out of the ordinary activity holiday or maybe have a teenager interested in working with animals.
The holiday experience involves hands on farming with 6 hours of tuition (in total) over 2 days (covering land issues, feeding, breeding, housing, regulations and health) which is delivered on task in the mornings come rain or shine. The morning concludes with a home cooked lunch, leaving the afternoon for relaxing and exploring the area, house hunting or enjoying the farm.
The package includes 2 nights accommodation, home cooked lunch each day and breakfast packs.

"Great location for a family holiday!"
We came for two weeks at the end of August. Mixed weather but it didn't knock our spirits! Managed to get three good days on the beach and plenty to do in the area on the wet days. Wonderful farm. Rob and Fiona have a great business here and with exciting plans for the future I wish them all the best, I'm sure they will make a huge success of it. Lovely cottages, a very peaceful place to be in the evening, all the ingredients for settling down in front of the tele with a glass of wine!
