Baby & Toddler Friendly
Holidays are for all the family so we aim to provide Baby & Toddler Friendly Holidays by making things as easy & fun as possible for families with young children.
From providing baby equipment to Farmer Rob’s tailored Toddlers breaks with child sized animals and our young children’s play area our goal is a relaxed fun family holiday.
our Cottages
All our cottages cater for Baby & Toddler Friendly Holidays but The Milking Parlour cottage is ideal for toddlers. A single storey ground floor cottage with under floor heating means no stairs to stress over. Plus warm under bottoms for those who spend time sitting on the floor playing or learning to crawl. In one of the twin rooms we can roll away a bed to give more space for a travel cot.
The open plan downstairs in the Coach House is ideal for keeping an eye on toddlers even when you are cooking. There’s a stair gate for the top and bottom of the stairs and a fire guard for the wood burning stove.
The Hayloft has a spiral staircase so may be considered unsuitable for some adventurous small children. We have a stair gate for the top of the stairs to accommodate any night time wanderings and a stair gate similar to the fireguard above for round the bottom.
A selection of baby & toddler equipment is available for use in all our cottages

Changing mats

on Farm Activities
Animal feeding rounds with Farmer Rob are the holiday highlight for little people. Each morning they can be seem waiting at the door with their wellies on asking where Farmer Rob is? Moving at toddlers’ pace during our special toddlers holidays makes a stay at Cwmcrwth Farm an ideal choice for Baby & Toddler Friendly Holidays. Following a similar routine each morning to encourage familiarity and confidence. Toddlers soon learn to fill their bucket with animal food, collect eggs and stroke the animals.
Babies are best carried in slings to accompany feeding rounds. Buggies can be used but may get a bit muddy.
Farms are fabulous sensory environments for toddlers and we do our best to ensure activities are learning opportunities as well as fun. Take a look at our blog post Why Farm Holidays are Great For Toddlers
