Weekend Break in the Country

Guests are welcome for a weekend break in our holiday cottages anytime outside the main school holidays. You’ll find the farm a perfect place for a relaxing and unwinding. A weekend break to escape the hustle and bustle of the city away from traffic noise. The chance to enjoy the countryside, night skies and fresh air. Prices are based on a stay of 2 nights or more although you are welcome to stay in any of our holiday cottages for just one night.

 

You can rent just one cottage or we are happy to accept Group bookings of up to 16 guests for a weekend break. We do not accept stag parties. We often host extended families . Sometimes visiting family in the area, attending weddings or gathering for a family celebration. Other times we have groups of friends either all adults or mixed family groups with children

Morning animal feeding rounds take place at the farm from February through to the end of October. Weekend guests are welcome to join Farmer Rob on his rounds and get hands on with the animals.

There are plenty of activities for groups locally from walking in the Brecon Beacons, climbing Pen y Fan and Llyn y Fan Fach, Mountain Bike Riding at Brechfa and Afon Valley, Fishing on the Towy to Kyaking.

In the Autumn and Winter the area hosts plenty of Christmas craft and food fairs. There’s lots of chance to see the creative talents of local businesses and taste the local produce. Each weekend from 17 November until Christmas there’s an event each week. Combine a weekend break with Christmas Shopping for inspiration for those hard to buy for people.

Lazy Weekend Breaks

During October to March outside the main school holidays we offer a Lazy Weekend Break. Guests can arrive Friday night and check out anytime on Sunday or before 10am on Monday. Ideal for a relaxing weekend allowing you to enjoy a Sunday brunch or lunch out before departing or a chance to grab a shower after outside activities like mountain biking before heading home.
